any ideas? doing pretty well on cockatrice. going turn 3 {master of the feast} into turn 4 {whip of erebos} is a swing lots of decks cant come back from even if they are drawing extra cards.

whip is huge for me. gaining 5 life with {master of the feast} is normally a swing my opponent cant come back from. and {utter end} is a better answer than {banishing light} since its permanent, imo.

hasnt proved to be. i think this deck has to have some midgame so it doesnt just die to {anger of the gods} or {drown in sorrow}.

Whip isn't too slow. Is there really any incentive to run white? {gnarled scar hide} does a nice impression of soldier, {hall of triumph} instead of spear, {spiteful returned} in place of walkers (should be in regardless). There's enough mono black removal to get rid of the white stuff. Anger and drown aren't all that bad for you, seeing as you can just deploy so many threats, and cards you have like master provide some later game. If you're intent on running white, {Ajani's presence} and/or {gods willing} could be nice. Btw {bellowing saddle brute} is waaaay too slow

Whip isn't too slow as it swings the race in your favour, and as long as you have a creature, it always does something. It even does something without a creature in play

Finally, {Thoughtseize} and {Mardu Skullhunter} can really punish their hand.

i have {thoughseize} in the board, but i only want to be reactive if i have to, which is why its in the board. im running white mostly for sorin. i have {ephermeral shields} in place of {ajani's presence} since i can convoke it. im not adding {seeker of the way} because i have very few prowess triggers. {spiteful returned} and {gnarled scarhide} are both being considered.
