Updated version of my Kaalia deck. Now with more dragons! And Khans cards.

{Dragonmaster Outcast} is listed twice.

Butcher of the horde seems kind of bad here. Sure he's good value, but you're playing kaalia! You can cheat in stuff with 9 CMC if you want to.

I almost agree. Except the ability makes it worth while adding some reanimation, eg {Faith's Reward}, {Rise of the Dark Realms},  {Debtors' Knell}, {Defy Death}, etc... You've got that many creates to make it ok to sac some.

Remembering all the recursion I have in there now. {Karmic Guide}, {Sheoldred, Whispering One}, {Reya Dawnbringer}, {Tempt With Immortality}.

Updated the deck. I sideboarded Iona and filled the space with {Restoration Angel}.

Added more cards into the sideboard.

This is a little more Dragon-centric now.

Why is there a buried ruin in here?

Artifact recursion. I have all these creature recursion cards, but my artifacts suffer from not being able to return.

No {Master of Cruelties}?
With Kaalia, that's game over if neither is blocked...

Do you have a plan for if Kaalia gets {terminus}ed?

No, but I'm yet to find a deck that does that.

This

maybe also a {cavern of souls} so kaalia cant get {hinder}ed.

I've constantly debated with myself over {Cavern of Souls} for that reason. On one hand, it makes her uncounterable. On the other, she's the only Human in the deck, besides {Dragonmaster Outcast}.

True, but if you play with bounce lands than you can return it to your hand and play it again naming whatever creature type you need to be uncounterable. Bottom line is, it enters untapped and stops the dreaded {counterspell}. Land staple for sure!

I mean either ways to tutor for her, or alternate ways to cast big nasties.

Yeah...
Or, y'know, just hit the opposition with {Balefire Dragon}.

Ya but steel hellkite has something that RBW tends to struggle with, enchantment removal. This is particularly relevant because it's repeatable

RB maybe, once you have white you're kinda fine... Ya know, with the primary enchantment destruction color.

For whatever reason I was thinking of grixis. My bad

{Amulet of Vigor} would be a thing for this deck, right?
Title: Re: Righteous Damnation
Post by: Spikepit on November 22, 2014, 05:53:24 PM
Well I think that would mean they wouldn't be attacking anymore when they enter after Kaalia's effect.

No it puts them into play tapped and attacking, but the tap thing will be cancelled with the amulet. They're still attacking.

It's pseudo vigilance. And since adding that Amulet, my deck is A LOT better.
