Title: Colors
Post by: Tthmax on September 22, 2014, 11:31:48 AM
when i have a {fieldmist Borderpost} in play and i make it a creature with {march of the machines}, do spells that interact with a creatures color interact with the fieldmist because it has colors in his mana cost?
Thanks!

Correct! That's how all cards are decided what color they are. Like gold cards being two or more colors. That one is blue and white and an artifact.

sorry but this is not correct. there is a difference between color identity and color. the new card {smoke teller}, has a blue mana symbol is his activated ability. he is not a blue creature however. he is a green creature only. his color identity is green and blue though. so he cannot be targeted by {red elemental blast}. if an artifact becomes a creature, it will only have colors if the affect making it a creature gives it a color, it has colors in its cmc, or some external effect gives it colors.

edit: sorry thought you linked a colorless artifact to start. since it does have a colored cmc it will be a blue and white creature with march of the machines
