First, you can't have 8 {Scalding Tarn}. ;-) I assume you meant 4 + 4 {Misty Rainforest}?

Haha whoops! The second set just isn't supposed to be there. I'm thinking I'll stick to just the four tarns and no misties to try and keep the cost down a bit. Fetches are cheaper on MtGO, but not by a whole lot.
I know you already said you don't like the lava mancers but keep in mind, less fetches means lava mancers are worse. Consider {Goblin Guide} maybe for an aggressive 1 drop?

There are a lot of can trip cards and burn spells, so Lavamancers would only be slightly worse, I think. I may try the guide though. I don't know how I feel about giving them potential draws for an early beater, though. On the flip side, an aggressive beater is pretty solid, especially with Delver beating for (hopefully) three alongside.
Thanks for the suggestion! You and Deathly are the two I was expecting haha. Just waiting on Deathly to point out where I'm being stupid at haha 😄
Also, maybe {Magma Spray} over {Pillar of Flame}. Can't go to the dome but instant speed is nice.

Thanks for reminding me! That was actually something I had considered. I was thinking another one or two SB for pod, as well.

Yeah, that deck deserves main deck instant speed hate, I think. Though 1/100 games you may lose if you could have just dealt 2 points of damage to your opponent instead. Haha
Haha the hope is that the extra two points isn't necessary with it being a one-of maindeck :P
Should I bump my Delver list?
You could use {polluted delta} for fetches 5-8 now that it's in Khans if you want.

Mtgo prices will tell.

But keep in mind that with Snappy Snoops that extra 2 to the done becomes an extra 4!!
Also I know against preference but Grim Lavamancer is an allstar! Please give home a chance!!
If I were to splash white for {Geist of Saint Traft}, would that be worth changing the mana base around or is GoST not good enough to merit a splash? I want to play him, but I don't want to spend the money to build UWR Midrange/control yet haha.

Geist changes the deck a lot!! You add Colonnades and Helixes and you go for more control opposed to tempo so if that's what you want then sure play {W} bc Geist is unreal!!

That was my main concern haha. I really want to play him, but I don't want to pay for the deck that he shines in. Yet. I'm planning on throwing this delver deck together and seeing if I can turn profit with it and then build UWR something-or-other hahaha
So, I've been tweaking this list a lot. Right now, it looks like a random mish mash of cards (which it kind of is) but I'm really noticing some things.
1) {Treasure Cruise} and {Monastery Swiftspear} are .loving. awesome.
2) {Young Pyromancer} didn't make the cut (gasp!)
3) When funds permit, I will be running 2 more {Flooded Strand} and 4 {Scalding Tarn}s to help {Treasure Cruise} and smooth the mana base.
4) Eventually will be -2 {Vapor Snag} +2 {Gitaxian Probe} :P Bit of an oversight on my part.
5) I'm kind of expecting some .poo. about this (especially the no YP bit) so lay it on me!
Yeah seriously young pyro is too good in here to turn down. Maybe put in two instead of a {Thought Scour} and a {Snaocaster Mage}
Honestly, Pyromancer seemed too slow and durdley. May come back in later, but I'm going to continue trying it without. This has been doing pretty well. Went 2-1 in a mirror against YP Delver. Again, mostly just a personal preference thing that I don't like pyromancer, but I don't think it's a necessity for the deck. I do, however, know that a lot of people seem to think it is. And that's why I'm going to be doing quite a bit of testing with and without ;)

{Thought Scour} is my best way to get {Treasure Cruise} active while I don't have the money for the rest of the fetches. And {Snapcaster Mage} just seems way too versatile in this deck to not run a full set. IMHO, {Snapcaster Mage} >>> {Young Pyromancer}

Just tossing it out but maybe a {Faithless Looting} so you don't top deck something you need from the scour?

Hmmmm. I kinda like "draw two" over "draw one." Biggest downsides are sorcery speed and if I ever run into that weird grixis discard deck with {Liliana's Caress} again haha.
Scour actually nets you 1 card whereas looting does not net you a card

Good point. Looting kind of just filters my hand.
I like this build a lot, but I only have 2 snapcaster Mage. Would a compromise 2- {Young Pyromancer} and 2 snap work at all?

Or 1 scour and one snap which was my suggestion

Not really sure. Try it and see! I personally think Snappy should be at least a 3-of since he's got such good utility in this deck, but that may be entirely a personal preference thing. Test it out and see what you think!
Some changes I'm wanting to make are:
-2 {Vapor Snag}
-1 {Island}
+2 {Gitaxian Probe}
+1 {Electrolyze}
SB
-1 {Flashfreeze}
+1 {Mindbreak Trap}
Treasure cruise isn't very good wih 4 snap casters, maybe cut 1. Either that or be very careful with what you exile to treasure cruise in case you draw a snappy

{U}: Draw three is awesome. I always keep in mind when I'm using it to keep a {Lightning Bolt} or a {Mana Leak}, whichever is more relevant.
Silent, thanks for posting this. I used this as a guide for what blue cards are good, as I couldn't actually build it. Ended going U/W instead as I had more parts. If you want I can post the build.

How does that play? Is it more controlly to replace the burn? I'm definitely interested to see the list!
Update!
-1 {Island}
-2 {Vapor Snag}
-2 {Treasure Cruise}
+1 {Monastery Swiftspear}
+2 {Gitaxian Probe}
+2 {Dig Through Time}
SB
-1 {Flashfreeze}
-1 {I forgot already} ({Spell Snare}!!!)
+2 {Counterflux}
Also!! I'm considering:
SB
-1 {Sowing Salt}
+1 {Sword of War and Peace}
Cutting out the two biggest removal colors seems good, but I don't know how good it is for (essentially) five mana.
Quote from: Taysby on October 23, 2014, 05:06:55 PM
yes, take out sowing salt. It's quite annoying.
I wondered if you'd be the first to respond :P
{treasure cruise} is established to be better in ur delver decks. The rare power of getting an extra cards has deemed to be better in this type of deck based on high level results!

Better than...... {Dig Through Time}? I'm finding that out quickly. Also finding out that {Scapeshift} is mean.
