Simple question: does trample damage go over while blocking?

Trample doesn't change the timing if damage. It all happens at the end of combat.

Oh sorry...I meant: does trample damage go over if you are blocking and not attacking.

Trample on a blocker does nothing.

Otherwise blockers would all be {Meglonoth}s. 😂
