So what's everybody going to do when the blocks go down to two sets? Make 'post rotation' decks after every new set release? I don't see the point in excluding a third of the available card pool (or nearly a fifth in the new format).
Stop playing standard and just concentrate on Modern and Legacy. Modern just got a lot easier for people to get into...
Go modern..
I got out of standard so fast.
Yeah, everyone dump standard, its going to be a much more diverse and interesting format? "Post rotation decks" lead to innovation and diversity, and with everything happening faster, it will take longer for people to "solve" the format and even if the do, it won't last long. I love the new changes and honestly, the stagnation was one of the reasons I was going to quit standard (that and the power dip, but that's another conversation).

My reason is because of finances. For me, it's more expensive to keep building decks due to rotation. Once I've built a modern deck, it's good forever and doesn't rotate. And with fetches being reprinted, I can now get the fetches I need.
I'll keep playing standard on Cockatrice, as that's free 😜
Keep in mind that a faster meta actually could lower Standard prices. It'll be those pesky modern players keeping it up. So Standard might be the cheapest format moving forward. We have to see.
I actually don't like standard because to get a good deck, you have to drop at least 200 bucks on it and its just so much more fun to draft for 12
So they're removing core sets? As in not printing anymore after m15?
Interesting. I feel like it'll change up standard decently. And we can focus more on the blocks/expansions. I feel like without Wizards having cores to print. Blocks and such will get a lot more focus, things will get balanced out. And hopefully it'll avoid that atrocity of
{U} devotion vs {B} devotion = standard

I think M16 will be the final core set... Next years.

Standard is too mainstream.
Modern, Lego and edh or the way to go ✌️
heres the idea when they cahnge it to 2 sets per block dont buy any cards for the first month get everyone else to join in when they realize the drop in purchases they will bring back the third se in the block i play edh exclusively so it wont affect me much
