So what colors is everyone thinking of running?
What kinda strategies are you cooking up with spoiler season well underway?

All my effort went into Commander...oops. I'm thinking of going B/G and rocking {Colossus of Akros} and that throne thingy.
My Ensoul Blast deck will probably grab that Ugin artifact as a {Shrapnel Blast} target.
I'm liking the {B}{G}{U} legendary, but the {W}{U}{R} one is epic.
I will make my first edh with one of the khans
I'm going Junk Reanimator. I just like what I'm seeing and Athreos seems good with junk ascendancy
Monored aggro/rdw ;)
Dega goblin midrange
Rabblemaster, mardu ascendancy, ankle shanker, generator servant, zurgo, Brimaz. Utter death, Herod downfall and lightning strike as removal.
What is utter death
dega goblins definitely seems like the most fun. {ankle shanker} ftw!!
Modern...
I don't have any sort of budget for this game, so non-rotation is awesome!
I might take rabble red out for a walk if I can, as I built a boss sligh shell.
I'm excited for the BUG cat demon. Or was it {W}{G}{B}
Idk. Anyways. I might run those colors.
I think I'm doing a mardu midrange thingy. Of course I've also got my U/R artifacts deck.

I feel like Mardu is gonna be the most powerful clan, Theros standard is just about SOOOO much aggro and speed. I remember the good old days where you had to wait until turn 5 or 6 to cast some fun cards... Now it's like IF IT AINT A TWO DROP 3/3 WITH FIRST STRIKE DEATHTOUCH AND LIFELINK THEN ITS A WASTE OF A RARE.. throw it in with the rest of the garbage those EDH plebians scrounge around in or whatever they do
magic has gotten progressively more overpowered. I would love to see a reprint of revised or something and watch standard kids have own simultaneous hissy fit throughout the world over "how terrible these cards are"
That being said, I'm going to run a Orzhov soul mender/ajani pridemates life link... Splashing for black
Every time I hear someone bitch about how overpowered magic is, I wonder what they're smoking, or if nostalgia is really that powerful. Old magic gave waaaaay too much power to spells over permanents. The game could only be enjoyed by people who loved grinding control or combo. It's now more balanced, it's nowhere near as bad as Yugioh, and control is still viable. However, do are creature-based strategies.
Btw, spells are permanents any card In fact . And you really seem like the one that is bitching.

Spells are actually not permanents. only things that are on the battlefield are permanents. so {sign in blood} is not a permanent. also emblems like the one {elspeth, sun's champion} gives you is not a permanent and thus cannot be {vindicate}d.

Rtr block is what was about speed. If you looked at what was successful at the Theros block constructed pro tour, you would see that almost all of the aggressive red based decks and aggressive heroic based decks died out in the early rounds, while the real winners were the BUG control decks and things like junk and naya midrange strategies. The format is very likely to slow down considerably.
What does the U stand for
So look for sac outlets in {B}{W} in Khans?
Well...hmmmm...I'm sure something will come up. OR. ORRRR. You'll gotta change everything ;~;.

It's not just the lack of sac outlets, the recursion so far has been crap, and there aren't many good sac targets.
We've got rescue from the underworld

Hey that's what I'm using. With Herald of Anefanza we can sac the tokens. With any creature with an ETB effect we can redo it. That card is also instant speed. I think it's good
Some solid ideas here. Wonder what new evils the populace will concoct with the next to pieces of Kahns.
I think it's going to be hard not to run Abzhan or Mardu. With Utter End, being printed (someone called it utter death earlier >.>) and the Siege rhino with ETB each opponent loses three life you gain three life, and Butcher of the horde at the top of both mana curves. Mardu will be a rough aggro match up for a lot of players, Turn one soldier, turn two raise the alarm, turn three Goblin Rabblemaster, and then butcher? That is a pretty unstoppable dream curve. Abzhan really just has to rely on some nyx fleece ram life gain, and then dropping Anafenza and a rhino and turning cards swideways. The biggest issue here is, if the next set has cheap board removal, or some izzet player gets frisky with polymorphist's jest and scouring sands both of these decks take really hard hits. I don't see that happening competetively though, but weirder things have happened.
Could just be from the flavor of it I love, but I think sultai will be the best control builds, and azban will be the best all around colored clan.
I'm going to be messing around with Jeskai infinite combo. Due to prowess and {Purphoros, God of the Forge} there are some serious ways to abuse infinite bounce. I'm working on the deck and I'll post it in Standard as Jeskai Combo.
