This is my attempt at an arcane deck.

The win conditions:

{Elite Arcanist} exiling {Reach Through Mists} with as many {Glacial Ray}a as possible in hand. Hence why all of those are four ofs.

{Petals of Insight} and as many {Glacial Ray}a as possible. I know that's super expensive mana wise but it works. {Petals of Insight} is a four of so I can actually draw three cards sometimes and still keep going.

Synergies and such:

{Horobi's Whisper} is there for repeatable removal. It's a bit weak being nonblack only and relying on graveyard but that's all I've got.

{Jace, the Living Guildpact} see above. Plus it's a health distraction and refilling my hand can be brutal to my opponents.

{Fog Bank} keeps me alive.

{Death Denied} the {Elite Arcanist}s are so important that retrieving them is invaluable. {Fog Bank} is good too.

The other creatures are there cause they kinda work. The flip one is badass.

{Peer Through Depths} grab {Glacial Ray}, and splicing.

The problems:

Early game is so weak.

If I don't draw {Glacial Ray} I'm screwed. (Not usually a problem}

I need ways to ramp or stay alive early game. There's also a counter in arcane, is it worth running?

Anything I should add? If so what should I cut?

Debating switching temples out for shock lands (though the scry is super helpful).

I'm debating {Sift Through Sands} and {The Unspeakable} (if I can get them) if so, cuts?

Play the stuff that can fetch {The Unspeakable} from the deck. I like those

What should I cut? I'm thinking -2 {Petals of Insight} and something else?

2 {Theif of Hope}

-2 {Petals of Insight}
-1 {Thief of Hope}

+2 {Sift Through Sands}
+1 {The Unspeakable}

I realize now that {Thief of Hope}s soul shift is useless...thinking of cutting the final three for {Guard Gomoza} but with such a slow deck I need life gain somewhere...thoughts?
