Title: Knight of the reliquary
Post by: Tabooist on September 01, 2014, 08:10:38 PM
So the situation is: opponent controls two {flame wreathed Phoenix}. Both have 2 +1/+1 counters.  I swing with a {knight of the reliquary} equipped with {bladed bracers} and {rancor}. I have 5 or so lands in my graveyard.  He declares the Phoenixes as blockers.

My question is the leglity of my response. I activated my knight's ability and search for {sejiri steppe} and give it protection from red.

Legit move?

If you mean {Bladed Bracers}, that yes that's fine. The Knight gets protection from red, and can't be dealt damage by the phoenixes. It can deal lethal damage to each and trample the rest over to your opponent. However, it's STILL BLOCKED. You'd have to do this in the declare attackers step, (after attacking, before blocks) for the Knight to be "unblockable."

Thank you. Lol. And yeah. That's what I meant. I suppose that should've been the smart move but I was hesitant. I'll keep that in mind.
