Has anyone else saved themselves from the brink of death in a game of Magic by either top-decking a card or managing to pull off an amazing play ?
My most recent one was being whittled down to 1 life in a 4 player Commander game, then top decking {Resolute Archangel}. Life goes back to 40, then two turns later swung for the win.
With control decks I've won after being brought down to 1 life. (Standard)
I've used mazes end to win in commander ala scapeshift and leyline of anticipation.
{Brave the Elements} has saved me in many many games.

Once I was while playing against a giant buffed up dredge deck deck with a few 15/15's. We were at a stand still until Nylea, God of the Hunt came into play, giving his guys trample. I used nythos, shrine to Nyx 2 to generated about 8 mana. I then played a Genesis Hydra for 8, got a Hypnotic Siren, stole Nylea and the rest was history.
Btw my Heath total was 1 after being hit by the big tramples.
I don't think would have been a legal play, as genesis hydra puts a card on the battle field

I was playing Modern Mill and affinity got me down to 2 life and I draw {Ensnaring Bridge} with 2 cards in hand so I play bridge and play land for turn I pass with 1 card in hand and lock him out! {Thank God he didn't top deck Galvanic Blast}
I use {congregate} late in the game sometimes and gain an extra 30 life
I was playing edh and he has this huge math of the gilt leaf (all rancor and imperious perfected up)
Give it intimidate against my daxos of meletis volte on deck
I have some utility guys, daxos, and a befallen orrery out
Flash in liquimetal coating and vortex elemental. Tuck that away.

Decked omniscience and then played enter the infinite used that one blue wizard(forgot her name) that whenever you run out of cards you win the game and then played divination to draw two cards when only one card was left in the deck so I won :) I only had 2 life left as well lol was epic

There ya go! Had a brain fart my bad, anyways kicked butt and took names :) was sweet
I've top decked {Merciless Eviction} many a good time to save my bacon from a wall of 4/4's and 8/8's. Also, once my friend played the {G}{R} shaman and stole eviction from me then used a {Zhur-Ta Druid} to Bloodthirst murder me with {R} haste beasties.
