Notes: I have always been a "miller", and until now, I've had decks that have leaned both ways. One towards pure mill, on towards creatures that help, or get affected by mill. I wasent really happy with it, so I ha thought and thought, and this came to life. I love the idea of it, and I'm excited to get it into play, and see the fear on peoples faces when they see that I'm playing it. I'm just looking for thoughts, and what I can do to make this absolutely terrifying. Thanks :)

No {Jace, Memory Adept}? He's kinda better than {Jace Beleren}.
I honestly like beleren more than memory adept, as it doesn't paint as big of a target on me. Everyone draws cards, which everyone appreciates, and therefor, no one touches him. It allows for the sneaky way for me to ult him out of the blue with ascention or duskmantle on the field. Pretty much insta game. Also, he is a 3 cmc to memories 5, which is easier on me to get out. Also, I've always ran him, and time and time again has he saved me by helping me draw into the one card I needed, or just helped me cycle through my deck a little quicker. I just think he is better then memory, but that's personal preferance.

Well said, because although jace, memory adept's zero ability mills them out pretty quick, you can ult beleren pretty quick, and then it's most likely game
Exactly. And my meta is full of people who run creature heavy decks, so I would rather stay out of the crossfire with this deck.
I see what you're saying. As a .politics. card {Jace Beleren} is the bomb.
The only other cards I'd think of running are {Traumatize} and {Mind Grind}. The second of which is a fantastic multiplayer mill card.
Made the change, and now it should hopefully be a multi-kill with a bloodline on the field, which is hilarious to meh :P

I think it has potential. Me like.
I ran it for a while before, when a friend had shown me mind funeral. Thought it was better, in an 1v1 sense, which it is, and gotten that instead. I will be playing multiplayer however, ffa's and all that, so grind does work much better :P
Thinking I can ditch phenax, for my creatures don't want to really be tapped, as they are defenders :P

No! You get priority just before your turn starts so you can tap everything and mill, then go to your untap step.
Point made! Thank you for that wonderful idea :3

As a burn/counterburn player I abuse that rule often. :P
No, I don't think Joy is a homunculus.
{Nephalia Drownyard} could be good. It helps you grind out games where you can't stick creatures and mill faster when you can.

Sounds good to me.
With khans coming out soon, I'm thinking of throwing the fetches in, which in my eyes is a stellar idea. Take out basic lands for it, or maybe even the temples?
You're running shocks so your fetch lands can grab them. Which is nice. I wouldn't drop temples but I might drop basics.
Makes sense. Mana that produces one color, for mana that can produce two. Sold on that:
That scry too. And with this being a multiplayer deck you can usually afford a couple turns.
True. The scry is amazing for digging, and my meta usually starts off slow anyways, so I'm good to go with that. I love this community :)

My meta is pretty slow too. It's super fun making a burn deck that can one shot everyone. The only problems are life gain. Specifically B/W extort and mono black devotion. Pretty hard to dethrone but my B/W extort and mono black devotion are better than theirs. 😈 or we just play limited influence.
Everyone in my meta runs some sort of lifegain, so if you want someone dead, either you have to ask others to help you kill that person, which usually backfires, or try and wait things out until you have a board state that you can protect yourself, and one shot your opponent. Makes for long games, and sometimes a target out of yourself by staying nuetral. -.-' tis annoying.
Play B/W extort and pillow fort the crap out of it. Everyone will slowly drain down while you go up, and they can do nothing. Or mono black devotion. The burst damage tends to draw less aggro. Either way {Erebos, God of the Dead} is your new best friend.
I've played so much life gain hate and have life gain that'll outlast and race everyone else so they've moved into other deck ideas.
The other thing is that {Rouge's Passage} and such go a looooong way in multiplayer.
I can see why, especially with a consuming abberation later game. Or anything big for that matter. The silly thing is, in my meta, we have developed a rule where you can't make the same kind of decks, like mono black devotion, or b/w extort, as it forces us to expand, and find out what kind of different decks are out there. And the extort archetype has already been claimed, so none of that for me. Could probably make something with erobos work, could make a fun black red with him :P It's keeps things interesting, instead of 5 different people playing extort. That would be tiresome.

I've done two people extort me mono black devotion. I won. :D

You're missing the best part.
{Gray Merchant of Ashodel}
Gary! Good old Gary, you stupid piece if undead shiat :P that's quiet effective as well....
What??? No {diabolical tutors}???
I has lots of card draw in {jace beleren} {jace, the mind sculpter} and {visions of beyond} , and adding in a tutor would mean that I have to take out cards in what is already a fantastic deck. Yes, searching for any card would be amazing, but I simply don't have room for it.
Been play testing it a lot, and I haven't been getting many mill spells in hand sometimes. Maybe cut something for another archive trap? Or is it good where is?
