Title: Path of Exile
Post by: cltrn81 on August 25, 2014, 09:49:35 PM
Ok so this is not your typical free to play MMORPG.

This fricking game is awesome and it was built by a group of gamers.  The creators say there is no way to get game advantage by spending real money.  The things you buy in the game for real money are mostly astetics or inventory slots.  That is awesome because most free games get to the point that you have to spend real money to advance.

Anyway, it's free on PC and you can find it on Steam.  I am playing a witch class because I like casting classes and spamming pets.  I am close to level 20 and I have some great gear and spells just from drops and quest rewards.....because, once again, you can't spend real money to get better stuff ;)

I have not played the other classes and I can't remember the names if the classes so I'll try and explain then.

One looks like a cleric/healer class.  Another is called shadow and looks like a rogue class.....I almost played this class.  There is an obvious tank/melee class.  There is an archer class and there is a duelist class.

If I play a melee class I think I would try the shadow or duelist class.

Can you play the game multiple times as different classes.

Also, I have tried to play this game before, it did not give the best tutorial because I remember learning how to run around, and that is it.

I've been playing this game since closed beta off and on :) it really is fun. I've started again recently and joined the rampage league. Messing around with a hyper-evasion Ranger and a fast-casting lightning spammer witch.
