Title: Countering Counters
Post by: Harmon1c on April 10, 2012, 09:53:57 PM
How do you all deal with permission decks? I think it's safe to say running into a {Mana Leak} or a {Counterspell} when we're trying to drop a win con is pretty annoying.

So what do you guys do in response to this kinda stuff?

Rage. Flip the table. Pimp slap my opponent. Rip my deck in half. Buy a box. Rage again when I don't pull chase rares. Go outside and throw D20's at cars. Get bored. Go back inside like nothing happened. Buy a bottle of Tru Blood. Have a cigarette. Ask for a rematch.

You know, the usual.

Normally a lot of profanities fly.. Then I go for whatever threat they have on the table and physically steal it and proceed to rip it up or throw it in the trash then proceed as though nothing happened

This is my normal response. 😝
But I guess besides {Grand Abolisher} and like jester said {Thrun}, and I guess {Emerakul}, just suck it up? I just hate playing with and against permission. It seems less fun and not at all strategic. Just my option though. ✌

Knowing when to lay in wait with counterspells is very strategic.  Also doing it without making it obvious that you are laying in wait is strategic as well.

Can't do that, but you can {Redirect} the {Counterspell} to {Redirect}.
