Multiplayer game, my opponent to my immediate right plays a a 7/7 {engulfing slagwurm} on my turn I {mind control} can I attack with the wurm?
No. Because you did not have control of it during your upkeep or your opponent did not control it past his/her upkeep.
Enchantments are only able to be played when you could cast a sorcery, and sorceries can only be cast in your main phases.
Summoning sickness effects creatures that have not been under your control since the start of your turn, unless they have haste.
So in short. No. But if you can also attach a {strider harness} to it or some other way to give it haste, then no you can't attack with it this turn.

{Lightning Greaves} are always fun with {mind control}, get your opponents fatty and swing 'em with it.
