karn liberated is soooo good against bloom titan.  -3 on their bounce land is like 3 turns of advantage.
Is bloom titan a relavent deck in the meta?

Yay! Thats the deck I'b building :3

Isn't four {Relic of Progenitus} excessive?

Alright, here is the problem with the deck: it needs {Cryptic Command}. So then you take out all the silly creatures and artifacts, and replace them with burn spells, counterspells and {Snapcaster Mage}. Now why are running Urza lands? Replace those with UWR fetches, shocks and {Celestial Colonnade}s. Hope this advice helped :)

passing the turn and hoping they play something to counter
This is literally my whole philosophy on Magic.

Update  {kessig wolf run} was a win more card and I kept losing to {blinkmoth nexus} so I changed them to ghost quarter.  I have 2 affinity decks in my local meta so 4 {vandalblast} and 2 boggle decks so 4 {back to nature}.  {back to nature} also works against twin.  Will be siding 4 {rending volley} as soon as it comes out because that hoses twin.

I usually sideboard in platinum Angels and vapor snags in my Blue White Tron whenever I play against infect and affinity. Also, I run a platinum Emperion mainboard to buy myself time against other decks

Tried it, but it's not good enough.  {path to exile} is a thing.  {galvanic blast} is a thing.  There is rarely infect in my meta.

Yah but that's also the perks of UW over green/red, protection lol {mana leak}s and {apostle's blessing} I one time literally had 18 infect damage with platinum angel until I drew emrakul lol :)

That's a completely different deck than this.  You have to have answers to their answers or you just lose.  Trinket mage is worthless, platinum angel doesn't do that much, I'd rather just play wurmcoil and start gaining life, etc.  I have tried a bunch of styles of tron and I like this one the mose.  It is also 4+% of the meta.  U/W is <1%.  That should say something.

Red you get access to pyroclasm which is extremely good, and green opens you up to sylvan scrying and ancient stirrings, and some side tech.  That makes the deck a lot more consistant.  You cannot talk me out of red green.  ;)

Everyone has their personal preferences! I haven't tried running RG yet with my stuff but maybe I will someday!

Seems bad he doesn't need it and the ramp spells he needs are lands that tutor for his tron pieces

{Explore} is strictly better than command don't you think?  Command is more versatile sure, but the other 3 options on command are not that great for tron.  I do not think popping 2 of your stars would be worth it either since command demands two colors.

I would not run either in the R/G list.....just my 50cent - 48cent

4 Ugins seems like a lot, I agree he's awesome in this deck but you can't chain together vindicates like you can with karn, so having 4 copies of a single planeswalker, especially in a deck that digs a lot, seems kinda bad

You underestimate ugin. I am running eldrazi's. And he's a much better o stone. And he ultimates soooooo quickly. I'd run 10 if I could.
O stone actually does something against affinity thoigh

Hey Taysby how does your deck do against bloom titan or bw tokens?
Title: Re: Red Green Tron - Taysby's Version - Tournament Level Modern Decks
Post by: Kaalia with haste on May 25, 2015, 04:45:00 PM
I play tokens, the MU is abysmal from my end with main deck pyroclasms and oblivion stone I have some issues. I can use Thoughtseize and other disruption spells to slow down them getting tron. It basically comes down to top decks, and when they're drawing wurmcoil and I draw spectral procession, they win. Also Ugin -0 is awesome, or you can -2 to deal with my intangible virtues

I was wondering because those 2 decks have been RAMPENT at my locals

Bloom titan I need to hit o-stone.  If I do, it's super easy, if I don't, it's 50/50.  Tokens is a joke.

you think a hand with 2 tron lands,a chrome star, an ancient stirrings and some bombs would assemble tron by turn 7.  No.  I keep drawing o stones, ugins, karns, etc.  Last I checked, I have 12 cards to pull out stuff, I dug 5 deep with stirrings, draw steps, etc.  This has happened several times today.  It doesn't normally happen, and it is making me kinda mad.

As much as we can manipulate draws, Magic is still a game of variance
Title: Re: Red Green Tron - Taysby's Version - Tournament Level Modern Decks
Post by: Mattao19 on May 27, 2015, 01:31:00 AM
It's variance that means that technically you can draw 1,000,000 hands of 7 and never see a land

Idk most lists run 20 land I personally go 2 quarter 1 Forest 1 eye. Don't you get too many awkward eye of Ugin hand? I feel like you just never want eye until T5 or 6

Ones good against spreading seas
Ones good against removal
And ones good against a lot of instants

I'm a big {Defense Grid} fan personally really helps vs {U}
