Why are you only running the electromancer as a 3 of? It's worth 4 spots

What card is bad enough that it is worth dropping for another electromancer?  Electromancer is a little low impact, comparatively IMO

Does anyone else think {Volcanic Awakening} would be hilarious in here?

Quoting my friend, and hexproofs, who is an AMAZING storm player, "electromancer is the best card in the deck"

It allows more consistent fast wins, and drawing multiple is never a bad thing Manamorphose becomes {R} draw a card and add 2 to your pool.

What's Finkels list? I'd just use his list.

In Finkel we trust!!

Because that's what the pros do.  :P  Don't ask me why the decklists are the way they are.  I just copy them off of www.mtgtop8.com
Most people on top 8 run 4.

Link to {pyromancer ascension} is broken, just FYI.

Personally I believe that {banefire} has a spot here.

Storm is not a ramp deck.  All banefire does is tap your mana out for a marginal effect when you could be using that mana to keep storm counting until you {grapeshot} for lethal

I would hardly call an uncounterable burn spell that can quite easily deal lethal damage a 'marginal effect'. I'm not saying you should base your deck around it, but as a huge part of your strategy is to abuse {pyromancer ascension} a one-of uncounterable burn spell can make a good mana sink if you can't find a {grapeshot}, which does happen.

Give me a scenario where you consistently have 21 mana with this build?  I say marginal because you may be able to hit the uncounterable fireball for 5 damage or maybe a little more but I don't see lethal in one shot.

He means with an active Ascension. But ya you're right storm has enough win cons that it really doesn't need a Banefire. Plus Grapeshot is "uncounterable" too

{counterflux} makes storm players sad

Counterflux is used as a 1 of in SB ... It's not an issue plus Storm has mana left over so they just {Past in Flames} the {Grapeshot} lol so flux is good but not great
