Title: Isocron scepter q's
Post by: TheUltimatetofu on August 19, 2014, 01:06:55 PM
I've been told that Iscron Scepter will cover additional casting costs such as kickers, if so it would cover replicate and since i can pay replicate as many times as i want, could I do that infinitely?

If not will iscron scepter cover alternitive casting cost like overload?

It will not work for alternate casting costs, such as overload.

You CAN pay additional costs, like kicker and replicate, and you MUST pay mandatory additional costs, like sacrificing a creature for {Altar's Reap}.  You CAN'T use it for Alternative costs like overload, since you're already using the alternative cost of 'not paying it's mana cost'.

Nope.  As a rule of thumb, if you cast a spell "without paying its mana cost", the only cost that's covered is the one written in the top right corner.  Anything required (or allowed) by the text box still has to be paid normally.
