What would be a fun deck theme to try out? Looking for new ideas and slivers are too expensive!
What format are you considering?
Edit: I assume you mean standard. If so here is a interesting semi budget deck: http://www.gatheringmagic.com/kevincrimin-video-07112014-playing-on-a-budget-standard-boros-angelic-accord/
This is not post rotation, but the best you will get with budget decks until khans of tarkir comes out.
Casual but I can go standard but preferably casual!
I'm having a bunch of fun with a {Possibility Storm} deck. The only creatures are {Young Pyromancer} and {Guttersnipe}, the rest if the deck is 3 mana or less instant burn spells and {Divination} as the only sorcery. It's not tier 1 by any means, but it's a ton of fun to play. Plus the look on their face when they realize their deck has zero predictability is great.
Instant speed deck! {Prophet of Kruphix}, {Alchemist's Refuge}, {Vedalken Orrery} and all sorts of things to play at instant speed.

that's fancy!!! Me like!!
MILL!
Counterburn is tons of fun. My dad has a pretty killer goblin EDH deck around {Krenko, Mob Boss}. Dragon Tribal might be a thing soon thanks to {Crucible of Fire} reprint. But seriously, counterburn is a fun and interactive deck.

MILL!
oh I love milling! It was one of my first decks! It ran beautifully until other decks started getting stronger while milling was left to the side:/

That it is, it can be hard explaining how it works at first though. Most people have no idea, I admit I didn't either until someone dropped it against me online.

It's definitely an instant "wtf am I playing anymore?" Had a 3 player game going and it took like 8 minutes per turn to go through each library for the change up cards.
