Title: We're going for the epics
Post by: Destore117 on August 02, 2014, 01:02:40 AM
So maybe I'm slow but are Epic decks a thing?
Picturing like {enduring ideal} into curses
Or
{Neverending torment}
Using some kind of draw as much as you want loop with no max hand size?

Enduring Ideal is the basis of a Modern Deck (formerly an Extended deck, when that was a format).  The others are usable in formats like EDH, but you have to go big and try to cast them all at once (or with Hive Mind)

Enduring ideal decks go find  {Form of the Dragon} which is nice :P

 I thought that form of dragon was a terrible card. Now it seems awesome.
I think along with form I'd use
{Pyrohemia} {Wound Reflection}
{Platinum emperion}

Just enchantment so you can't use platinum

The general order for the Modern deck is this:
{Dovescape} - Turns off your opponents non-creature removal
{Phyrexian Unlife} - Stops you from dying before you get the last piece
{Form of the Dragon} - Slowly grinds down your opponent and resets you to 5 life every turn.  Between Form and Unlife, it becomes incredibly hard for opponents to kill you, since combat without First/Double Strike will never be able to give you poison counters unless they burn you down to 0, first.

Doesn't {Dovescape}  counter epic?

Nope, since you don't cast the Copies.

For maximum shenanigans, get Hive Mind with {Eternal Dominion}. At least that one can allow the game to eventually end.
