Like how on earth did they think {Mental Mistep} and {Ancestral Vision} would be unbroken cards??
IDK, they only playtest limited and standard from what I have heard from articles and MaRo. Also, the FFL is kind of new, so who knows how long they have even been testing for standard.

Future Future League, its a group at Wizards that playtests standard a year or so in advance of it being standard. So when we were playing Inn-RTR standard, they were testing RTR-THS standard.

Yes, but then if you work for Wizards, or have an immediate family member who does, you cannot play in a sanctioned MtG event for the duration of your/their job. And that includes FNM...
