I've been looking through this and haven't seen anything I'm overly excited about. Seems like they're doing lots of Convoke cards.
What did you all like with M15?
I did see one combo idea using {Burning Anger}
run it with {Bruna Light of Alabaster}? (First card that came to mind to cheat enchantments into play) Attack while enchanted with {Ghostly touch} then untap bruna then tap from burning anger for a sort of double damage deal?
And {Back to Nature} seems like a gigantic middle finger to Theros.
Idk. But what did everyone else think of m15?
(Sorry if this question has been asked already.)

This made my day! Laughing so .loving. hard.
I honestly think m15 was made to benifit heroic and bestow decks.
I meant counter

bruna has vigilance so she doesnt need to be untapped by {ghostly touch}.
Joking btw

Oh yeaaah ._. My reading skills are just. The HIGHEST. You can tell.
{Burning Anger} as previously stated, kicks butt. Slap it on something massive like {Bearer of the Heavens} and win in two turns, no blocks, no nothing. Slap it on {Vampire Nighthawk} and ping off everything, while gaining life.
{Soul of New Phyrexia} is epic, and I wish one for my EDH artifact deck.
{Scuttling Doom Engine} is pretty epic.
I love Planeswalkers, so yeah.
{Xathrid Slyblade} won me a game. So good.
There's some epic green cards, {Hornet Queen}, {Hornet's Nest} {Phytotitan}. Just so many nicely costed beaters with sick abilities.
Blue got shanked. The new Jace is meh. The soul kinda sucks. The dbt rare SUCKS. {Casm Skulker} and {Atherspouts} are the only really good cards I've come across. The {Wall of Frost} reprint was nice. Now that I think about it there's some 3/2 common that makes things unblockable. And the legendary creature, not bad.
Red likes {Cone of Flame}. Chandra reprint. It's soul isn't bad for maybe EDH. Also some cheap aggressive creatures.
Black. Black has everything but its trademark removal. {Ob Nixillis Unshackled}. The soul. Lilian reprint. {Xathrid Slyblade}. The commons and uncommons are also generally good.
White, I never play white. {Soul Mender} is annoying. There are aome sweet angels, as always. And removal‽ Good removal‽ Whaaaat? White is good from playing against it.
That's my quickly written two cents.
M15 eternal playables IMO are:
{Waste Not}
{Chord of Calling}
{Urborg Tomb of Yawgmoth}
{Bronze Sable}
{Raise the Alarm}
{Ensoul Artifact} <---- Stanislav Cifka ran it as a one of in his Afinity list lol
Other than that not much
I'm still not convinced {Waste Not} is good (in Modern, it is decent in standard). If it starts showing up in decks, I will change my mind, but until then....
{Waste Not} is absolutely phenomonial in my EDH deck. It's a staple in {Nekusar, the Mindrazer} EDH

The new Jace is meh.
First thing. Like your reasoning there. I won=good card
Second thing. The other planeswalkers seem like well. they want people to use more planeswalkers i supoose? but jace...He kinda goes against what Jace cards are doesn't he? Cuz. Isn't he usually like hey I'm gonna mill you and well deal with it.
Now he undoes all that hard milling work you just did? And his +1 is really meh. If it was drawing the cards it'd be a lot better. IMO.
And -3 for a {Disperse}?
Meh indeed. meh indeed.

To be fair his ultimate is the greatest card advantage effect in MtG history lol lets both discard our hands then I DRAW 7!! Muhahahaha so what if they reshuffle you should win after that!!

A fine point. So he's playable then? Just not going to be like a staple for anyone.
Standard playable FOR SURE! Eternal playable lmfao no
I constantly forget about standard haha. It's funny that like
Setting a standard is like setting a specific way to do something
But standard in magic changes like every few months.

{Xathrid Slyblade} is a fantastic card, I'd still be saying that even if I hadn't won a game with it. All you have to do is leave four mana untapped and any non-evasive monstrosity that comes your way dies. And unless it's in the middle of slaughtering something it has hexproof. I just think it's a really badass card and winning me a game from 5 life vs 28 solidifies it in my book.
As for Jace, unless you're playing graveyard retrieval his +1 can lead to some harsh decisions. I mean the previous Jave gave all your opponents attacking creatures -1. The one before that was target opponent mills one you draw one. It's just comparatively meh. Not bad per say, just meh.
His -3 isn't bad. It has utility and can help control send back stuff that gets through counters. But vs Vraska's -3, or Garruk's? Again, not bad, just meh.
That ultimate. Patches up the drawback of the +1, plus the best card advantage ever? It's good, that's for sure. But the problem is getting there, as well as that it doesn't seem to be as powerful as other ultimates. I mean I'm not expecting JtMS but Garruk's emblem basically reads "target opponent loses the game" Jace's ultimate just doesn't seem as good. Time may prove me wrong and I love that it says "each opponent" which adds to his utility. I'm not saying that {Jace, the Living Guildpact} is a bad Planeswalker. I'm saying that he's not really that exciting to me.
How many opponents have scooped to a {Sphinxs Revelation} for 7? His ult does win you the game. You draw 7 and they discard their hand allowing you to resolve your freshly drawn AEtherling or (insert win con here)

I've never played against a {Spinx's Revelation} deck, so I wouldn't know. As I said I might be proven wrong on his ult but the other two are just so meh.

Do you play standard? Cause if you do I'm pretty amazed that you haven't played against it
This is probably impossible to make happen. But what if someone could do some kind of {Doubling season} {The chain veil} {Sarkhan vol} {sarkahn the mad}
season out with Veil
Play Vol
5 5\5 dragons with haste and flying til end of turn play
sarkhan the mad
swing for 25
Sarkhan the mad activate deal 25?
Need...I think...9 mana?
Not to mention how late game this would be :/
Idk...Double Kiora emblems?
Or Garruk Apex Hunter? Creatures that attack target player get +10/+10 trample?
Or {Jace memory adept} with chain veil = Jace beleren ultimate for 0 loyalty (but a decent chunk of mana)
Idk. I really like The Chain Veil as an idea.
Gideon champ being able to buff him self then also swing in same turn?
But 4 then 4 is rough :/
