Notes:
This is my first post. Im a longtime lurker and finally decided I'd be better off actually joining this amazing community. I was hoping for some feedback on a  deck I've had for a little while. Fun to play but I'm hoping you guys can help me bring it into a more competitive light.

First off, run 4 {faithless looting}.  It is one of the best cards for helping to draw and fill your GY early game.  Sure cards like {reforge the soul} do better from a quantity sense but faithless is T1 and repeatable.

{U} gives you access to good cards like {breakthrough}, {windfall}, and another good 1 drop I can't think of

What would you take out? I'm thinking {dual casting} is rather disposable. I've always had issues of letting go of random, yet interesting cards.

{careful study} is the other blue card I was thinking.

{dual casting}, {gem of becoming}, {mystic retrieval} would all come out if it was me.

I would make this 24 lands as well.  You do not want to miss a land drop with this build.  You need 4-5 mana to become a threat.

Consider removing your creature count and focus on only having about 4-8 big reanimate targets.  Build the rest of the deck around draw and discard.

Here is a recent reanimator I built for modern that focuses on {borborgymos enraged} as my primary target.  This deck has card limitations because of the format but the idea is to be able to draw and discard as much as possible and especially as early as possible.  Notice how low the digging cards like {faithless looting}, {mulch}, and {life from the loam} cost.  A lot of times I will cast {life from the loam} even without pulling lands out of my GY......just so I can dredge the loam next draw.

Thanks cltrn. I can't provide an argument against that suggestion. With khans on the horizon, I want to keep the dragon feel to it. I'm a sucker for tribal decks.

It would be neat if you had a bunch of low costing dragons and then you could get {utvara hellkite} out swarm with free 6/6s but that could be an entirely different build.  GL and thanks for posting :)

I really dig the idea of that deck cltrn.

I'm loving breakthrough. Got my hands on a playset and it's pretty sweet. Can't believe I didn't see the potential when I opened some conspiracy. I added the blue and black praetor for fun, black for more reanimation and blue for draw and discard. I milled myself out with him though last night though. Whoops.
