It must be noted that putting the legendary Eldrazi from your hand this way neither triggers their "on cast" abilities nor their annihilator triggers.

The 'not casting' part is fine but why would it not trigger annihilator? It's attacking and that's the requirement for that trigger. Seems fine to me

Because it is not being "declared" as an attacker. It is attacking as the effect of another creature being "declared" as an attacker.

4/1/2008   If you use the ability, the Soldier creature enters the battlefield attacking. It doesn't trigger "when a creature attacks" triggers and is not subject to restrictions on declaring attackers.

The Annihalator trigger is one of the "when this creature attacks" triggers.

Why put in an Eldrazi? I'd just throw down {Blightsteel Colossus} and call it a day.
