Title: Foils
Post by: Ekann1 on July 25, 2014, 07:56:40 PM
Are foils signable? I'd like to take my giant oloro to the gp to get it signed but I don't know if that will work. In the same line of thought, how about playmats?

Yeah most artists have black sharpies.  If you want another color bring your own.  I've seen a few signed  {Ajani, Mentor of Heroes}. I have 1 in black.  I know a guy had 4 signed 2 were foil one with gold, one with silver.  They both pop.   I also have my Chicago GP mat signed. It's in black, blends in a lot, with I would have had color.  When I got to GenCon I'll be bringing other colors.

I don't own any signed cards. Do you guys have the artists sign them, or pros?

I got a few signed by artists today, and I'm going to get some signed by pros tomorrow.

My collection is artist signed. I have a foil {Bitterblossom} from Morningtide signed by Reid Duke. I kind of regret it. Not that he's a bad player, but they don't really create the card's. I've got a bunch signed by Mark Rosewater,  which I believe is a better use of space. But mostly they're all artist signed, one is even an artist altered {Gift of Immortality} by Matt Stewart (whom I met at GP Richmond)
