Title: Courser of Kruphix + Keranos doubt
Post by: the_maxx31 on July 24, 2014, 06:29:50 PM
I'm building a deck around these 2 cards, but my doubt is if this combo is legal?

May sound dumb but here it goes...

As the top card of the library with courser is already revealed, I don't know if having the card revealed will still trigger Keranos, God of Storms ability.

If it does, should I just say to my opponent: "I'm revealing the revealed!

Thanks

It works. Also, Keranos reveals the first card drawn on each of your turns, so in some instances the card Courser is revealing won't be the card Keranos looks at to decide bolt or draw.

Basically, you'll just state that you're drawing it, and use the relevant trigger on Keranos.  When Courser is on the battlefield, you reveal each card you draw, anyways, so you just have to make sure you point out the Keranos trigger.  Then you're good to go.

Courser reveals top card of library, does that mean each card you draw? For example, if I cast {Jace's Ingenuity} do I have to flip the top card after each card I draw, or does the spell just let me draw the top 3, then flip the top card?

When a card says "Draw three cards", the game treats it as "Draw a card.  Draw a card.  Draw a card."  Between each draw, you reveal the top card of your library (because Courser says you always reveal the top card), so each of your draws will be revealed.

Well, think of it this way - Once you draw the card, it's no longer on the top of your library, so it's not being revealed.  Then, Keranos instructs you to reveal the card you just drew, which just so happens to be one you just revealed from the top of your library.
