Title: Basic land
Post by: jonrox3 on July 23, 2014, 03:23:44 PM
I have a few lands that have no indicator of which set they are from. Any ideas? From the first few sets?

Does it have a copy right date at the bottom?

No symbol means core set 5th edition or before
black border is alpha
if it has a date then that's 5th edition
other than that then you get to match pictures between beta, revised and unlimited
You forgot that beta is also black border.
Black border with very rounded corners- Alpha
Black border, regular corners- Beta
White border, dark ink, heavy black line at bottom- Unlimited
White border, faded ink, no date- Revised
White border, copyright date- 4th.
All other sets have expansion symbols

Revised lands have a slightly darker back too...  I have them in my pauper deck at needs to be sleeved.  I have a tone of revised land. I only use to buy starter packs in revised.
