Title: How long
Post by: Ryggrad82 on July 21, 2014, 03:38:17 AM
Does it usually take for a new set to be added to the database?

Normally it is up to date by the release date and some times sooner. But it seems the forum has been having some issues lately so that may be a problem with updating. Not sure but I have been waiting for the set to be added also.

From what I can tell, Piotr bases all the info in our database on Magiccards.info, which pulls all of its info from Gatherer and TCGPlayer.com (for prices).  Once MC.info updates with M15, we should have it on the app soon after.

It's been less than a week since the new set has arrived. Conspiracy list went up the week after it was released.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there is anyway to speed the database process unless you can get magiccards.info to update their DB faster

Yeah I'm rapidly beginning to lose what little faith I had left in the product.

I blame mismarketing the program and not listening to the user feedback

I blame socialism, lol.

This is ridiculous. Two weeks since the prerelease, and nothing?? I too, am seriously disappointed with this after buying all upgrades and whatnot for the app. If I'm paying for a service, I expect to receive it.

Would it be acceptable for McDonald's to take 30 minutes to get you your food? No, it would not. Patience has absolutely nothing to do with it, and even so, two weeks longer than normal is unacceptable for a paid service. Period.

Not sure anything on this website is a paid service (well except being a patron). The card links can used by anyone.

*sigh* I consider paying for "unlock all" to mean all the things I'm unlocking will be updated and maintained. If others use it for free and do not pay anything, ten they have no right to bitch about anything. I however, did like what I saw and have been using this app since v1. I paid for everything because I believed in the app and wanted to not only have full use of it, but to also compensate the creator for his time and effort in creating and maintaining it. MAINTAINING IT.
