Can Ral wear The Chain Veil? 75 cards, 15 sideboard 6 {Forest} 4 {Stomping Ground} 4 {Temple of Epiphany} 4 {Breeding Pool} 4 {Steam Vents} 2 {Temple of Mystery} 2 {Temple of Abandon} 26 lands 3 {Sylvan Caryatid} 1 {Keranos, God of Storms} 4 {Courser of Kruphix} 8 creatures 3 {Simic Charm} 2 {Izzet Charm} 4 {Dissolve} 3 {Kiora, the Crashing Wave} 3 {Nissa Revane} 3 {Ral Zarek} 3 {Anger of the Gods} 2 {Haunted Plate Mail} 3 {Mizzium Mortars} 26 other spells Sideboard 3 {Cyclonic Rift} 1 {Anger of the Gods} 1 {Simic Charm} 2 {Dissipate} 2 {Gainsay} 3 {Plummet} 1 {Mizzium Mortars} 2 {Bow of Nylea} 15 sideboard cards Notes: deck is supposed to be a rug walkers deck that can also win by going infinite with chail veil, ral zarek, and nissa worldwaker. any suggestions appreciated. nissa revene is subbing for new nissa and haunted plate mail is subbing for the chain veil. first draft.

First of all, it does not go infinite. When you first go off you have about a 3% chance of completely wiffing with Ral's ability forcing you to find another way to untap the chain veil or wait a turn. Secondly, {Aetherize} could be cool. Thirdly, Nissa is part of your infinite combo, you might want three of her in the deck. Overall, the deck look really solid, good luck with it.

assuming you have 4 forests in play with ral, nissa and the chail veil in play, you tap 4 to activate chain veil, then activate ral to untap veil, and plus nissa to untap 4 forests. you can keep plussing your walkers infinitely.

You can also tap all your opponents permanents

thanks. think im gonna start with rift in the side but ill definitely test it. so pissed my cockatrice failed when i downloaded the update.

Something that occurred to me for a deck like this is {Realmwright}.  If you just name Forest, if lets you not care what lands you have when you try to 'go off'.  Not sure if it's worth it, but it's an idea.

Lol, I love that card. I spent like two months trying to figure out how to make some weird Scapeshift/Tron deck that used used {Realmwright} to name Mountains then scapeshifted in tron lands to kill you, and as a back up plan, you could use your tron lands to cast big broken things. (Like if they had a {Leyline of Sanctity}

So, you have Ral Zarek, Nissa, Worldwaker, The Chain Veil and four Forests.

You tap your four forests and activate The Chain Veil, giving you an extra activation of your planeswalkers this turn.

You +1 Nissa to untap your Forests, and +1 Ral to untap The Chain Veil.

Rinse and repeat, ending with Ulting Ral or any other planeswalker you end up having on board at the same time.

But you can never actually go infinite because you have to tap something with Ral right? Or can you tapped something that is already tapped?

Since Ral doesn't specify that you have to tap an untapped permanent, you can target anything, tapped or not.

hmm i was looking for something like this. at first i thought {chromatic lantern} had the same effect but alas. i will test it. right now im doing ok on nissa finding forests but i will see. nissa has been extremely strong even by herself. such a fun deck!

So I took your idea with a totally different approach...see what you think...rug superfriends
