I faced a deck like at FNM. Need to find out the exact list. This is what I could gather from our 3 games.

I like it! Not sure if the black splash for bob is worth it mana and $-wise, and the mana base is that much more expensive of course, but seems cool!

Thing is you don't have room for {ajani's pridemate} as a quickly wincon, and losing life off confidant triggers and lands is going to add up. You'll still be gaining life, but it will mostly be just offsetting life loss from other stuff (at the beginning at least) which might make a normally easy matchup like Burn a little harder.

If you're going to play black, you might as well be playing some kinda of {thoughtsieze} effect- {inquisition of kozilek}, {thoughtsieze} itself, {duress}, whatever. I've found that while it might not seem like it, this deck acts like a control deck a lot so that should be useful.

This looks suspiciously like my list with Pridemates switched for Confidants now that I look closely... lol :P

The decks were very similar from what I could see. Do I did save time by copying and editing your list lol :P

Just for the record, you didn't create the deck. The deck as been made and used before and even won a PTQ sometime ago.

True true. I meant the version with my tweaks and my sideboard, though those were not totally mine either. Good to hear it won a PTQ, can someone point me towards that list?

The PTQ it won was from a while ago. I'll dig up the list, if I can find it again.

Problem with mtgtop8 is that it is horrible with PTQ Top 8 barring about 6 out of 50.
