Guys {Chord of Calling} is an instant speed tutor that puts the creature card on the battlefield!!!
Still not convinced?
It's a $30 Modern card that is played in (arguably) the most powerful Modern deck ({Birthing Pod})
Still not convinced?
Ya you should probably just quit this game lol
How much to preorder the m15 version?
It was at $10 now it's at $15
Who has said this is not good?

I'm actually very excited! I love the new art and want a foil one for my EDH so I can trade the regular bird one. I don't play standard or pod in modern so it's not a card I'm looking for a playset of.

Isn't pod the only tier 1 deck in modern that runs it? Why would somone be super excited for a card that they won't even be using?

Bc in standard tons of decks can run it!! mono{G} ramp can RG Monsters can! Rogue decks can too!!
Well if you play standard then yeah that will be fun
I'm really excited to try a sliver toolbox with chord. Only need 1 hivelord for the maindeck lol

I'm not sold on chord in standard right now. I know its really good in modern, but it seems like it has to be a toolbox deck for it to work good and that doesn't seem possible in standard right now.
Trust me it works ;)
Bant affinity control!

I trust you! Remember when you t me that {eidolon of the great revel} was super good? Now it's played in nearly ALL red decks!

Most specifically, it gives Green-based Midrange decks something to do on their opponent's end step with all their Coursers and Sylvan Caryatids. Tap four lands and three dudes, get a Polukranos. Untap, Swing. Seems good.
Quick point of debate: is Chord good in limited? I say (if values be damned) its playable, but possibly not first-pickable, depending what's in the pack. Chord is nice, but when it costs 9 to pull out a bomb, and you need to have the bomb in the deck, it gets a little shakey.

I'm with you, way to slow for competitive standard. Standard does not have the mana ramp to make effective, and it can easily be countered or ran over by a fast aggro deck unless your interested in calling in a {a mana dork}. Now saying this, it will be a great card to hold onto because price will go up in time. This is what I think because of the current standard, but this could easily change in khans or even the next set after.

I guess I would think if a green based deck had four untapped lands and a {Sylvan Caryatid}, I'm wondering why they didn't just play a 5-drop? Wouldn't most players be able to tell that Chord was coming? I guess instant speed does help against control, but the G/x Monsters matchup is already pretty good against control. I don't know, you guys could definitely be right on this one. Like I said, I'm just not super convinced Chord is great in standard until I start seeing it be great in standard. I think it needs the right kind of deck to be good; it's an awesome card, but I'm not sure it's so awesome it should just be jammed in every green deck possible.
You can all laugh at me when I'm wrong!
I think your right, if it does get good it's not fitting into the shell of a deck that already exists and would more likely be in a new Archetype like someone mentioned with silvers.

This a well curved Sliver hand can do nasty things with Chord in the right build its great plus late game you have a tutor at instant speed so they sphinx for 5 and tap out and in response your chord

But people only tap out for sphinx eot of your turn, that would leave you completely open for a board wipe, etc. also most of the time you want to play your slivers before you attack to boost the attacking ones.. Not eot.

Oh no!!! Chording a {Sliver Hivelord} onto the field could leave me open to a board wipe.......oh wait.....
