Post by: Avodroc13 on July 01, 2014, 12:34:41 AM
If im playing against a mono-green deck, can I put out {Living Lands} and then next turn cast {Wrath of God} and to destroy all their lands and creatures?

your opponent might call you a jerk but if lands becomes creatures they can be destroyed like any other creature could.

Interesting question, what creature type are they? For instance if they had a  {Coat of Arms} out too.

Well {wrath of god} destroys all creatures. Doesn't really matter what their attack or toughness is. And making all lands (depending on the spell) creatures. Everything they own would be destroyed.

I was thinking more along the lines of if a spell like  {Cower in Fear} as an alternative. Or  {Doomwake Giant} etc.

You can {golgari charm} against those. With {wrath of god} you cant do any of that.

They're a Land creature type since Living Lands doesn't give them one.

I used this combo way way back when to really annoy my friends that played mono green.

To follow up -  because Living Lands doesn't give them a creature type, they don't have one, just the Land type of Forest.  Since Coat of Arms says 'shares a creature type'...  They don't share a creature type with anything (even each other), so they don't get a boost.  There are ways to give them creature types. But that's another discussion.

Yep. Was fun. I enjoyed using  {Kormus Bell} against their  {Pestilence} deck
