good day.. in a 1v1 commander.. if i {Hinder} or {Spell Crumple} opponents commander when he/she casts it.. i will obviously say.. put to bottom.. and in the 1v1 commander rule... commander put on bottom.. that owner may choose to put it on command zone.. heres the question.. what if i use the ability of {Void Stalker} put commander on top of library.. then shuffle.. does the commander gets shuffled too? or opponent may choose to put in command zone..
thanks
The owner of the commander does not have the option to put it in the command zone if it goes into the library. It's a solid way of getting rid of it. Exile, yes, graveyard, yes, hand, (I THINK yes, but why on earth would you?). So, tell him to shuffle it well with a smug smile.
i feel like im a bad boy today...
thanks
No problem, just make sure you tell him wingnut says sorry while he's shuffling.

"Second, in addition to the ability to put the Commander back into the Command Zone if it would go to the graveyard or be exiled, you may do so also if it would be put into your library."
But as is always stated, duel commander is not run by WotC, so these are not official WotC rules.
So are these "house rules" or are they THE rules? Not sure how to take it 100%. I feel like I should delete my previous posts. Agreed?

As far as I can tell, these are THE rules. But again, with no official WotC duel commander rules, there's no way to tell.
In the "Duel Commander" (French Ban List) version of Commander, there IS an option to put a commander in to the command zone if it would be put in to the library, which is probably what the poster is thinking about. In traditional rules however, you can Hinder or Crumple a commander just like any other spell and probably just ruin someone's day.
I personally have a moral problem with putting commanders into my opponents decks.
Why? The golden rule. I'd be pretty pissed if somebody did that to me. That being said if they're playing a nasty commander or playing a nasty deck or I'm getting my butt handed to me, I'll shuffle it in. It's a last line of defence in my book. (Coming from the guy that owns a playset of {Condemn})
Would you be willing to give those up?

I'm assuming you're talking to me? I've been holding onto them with the intentions of making a nasty R/W deck. Digging now I can only find the ones from the Heroes vs Monsters duel deck. I think I'll hang onto them as the only cards I'm looking for right now would be bad trades for you and I can't find the whole set.
