Doesn't quite work, sorry. The check to see if there aren't any counters is made when the upkeep ability resolves. You can hexmage it, but you won't win until your upkeep.
Can you just sack the sexmage at the next players end step? Before your upkeep?

yea you can. but the point of this thread was win at anytime, so now its just at upkeep.
All it says is at the upkeep to remove a counter. Then it says "if there are no counters..." These two things sound like they can happen independently from one another, not just during upkeep

That would be true, if those two things weren't in the same paragraph. If they were in separate paragraphs, you would be correct.
