I'm sure this has been asked before and it might even be in the rules I just didn't understand what it meant in general (very new to magic). So in a more specific scenario, when Wildfire goes into affect and there is an oblivion ring exiling one of your creatures, does that creature come back under your control after wildfire resolves or does it come back and get exiled like the rest of the cards?

It'll come back afterwards. Oblivion Ring's ability doesn't get to resolve and return your creature until after Worldfire is totally done doing things.

Back during Innistrad/Return to Ravnica Standard, there was a deck known as "OmniDoor/ThragFire". One of the ways it won was by resolving a {Thragtusk}, followed by {Worldfire}. For the same reasons as the Oblivion Ring (trigger happening after Worldfire is completely done), both players were left at 1 life and you had a 3/3 from Tusk leaving the field.
Sweet. However, if I enchant a creature, I would have to cast two rings to save the synergy, right?
You could oblivion ring the enchantment first, then the creature but it really isn't necessary. Once you cast worldfire and get a creature back you're guaranteed a win if they have an empty board as they only get access to one more card before you can attack for lethal.
Just O-ring a hasty creature... Mmm toasted opponent... Tasty
