I don't understand 'converted mana cost' for the card birthing pod.....have the card, dunno how to use it really...anyone?

The converted mana cost (or CMC) is the sum of all the numbers and symbols in the cost (top right corner).

now for cards such as {Reaper King} it would be the greater of the 2 (10 CMC instead of 5)
