No I have not.  I am going to check out some deck tech vids before finalizing.  The goal of this idea is to draw cards as much as possible and swarm the board.

Reejerey has good synergy with aether vial. I think it'd find a good home in the deck.

Wouldn't  {Aquitect's Will} be better than  {Spreading Seas}  in concert with  {Merrow Reejerey}

 {Sword of Feast and Famine} for more mana for the second main phase or to keep stuff untapped for counter spells

I've always been a fan of 2-3 Kiris they're just insane sometimes :P

This is my pet modern deck. After playing it for several months, I've found that the 2cc counterspells are not for this deck. I prefer the 1cc spell pierces. They seem to fit better. Also, why no {vapor snag}? Merfolk is now an inherently tempo-based deck, and snagging an opponent is always good for this deck.

I've found that this site has a lot of good discussion and tech choices goer merfolk:

I have thought about vapor snag but I need to get some time to playtest.  I am in the middle of moving and work is crazy right now.  I want to finish this build after all this slows down so keep suggestions coming :)

I have been thinking about {vedalken shackles} in this deck as well instead of adding the vapor snags.  You guys think it will slow the deck down too much?

The shackles feel a bit slow to me, I'd be wary. Not saying it wouldn't work though, I just kinda feel it would make things clunky
