Can {Akroma, Angel of Fury}'s Morph be countered?
When you play it face down, it can be countered, yes. You're playing it face down as a 2/2. It doesn't have any of it's abilities or anything on the card except for it's morph cost until it is turned face up.
Edit: I'd also like to add that the morph can be {Stifie}'d because Akroma is still face down as a 2/2 creature. When you activate the morph, someone can Stifie it keeping it at a 2/2.

I find this a conflict of interest aaron....... Can someone other than the person i plan on using this card against please answer my question?
Morph says you may "cast." It can be countered.
In general, it's good to look up the rulings for the card on Gatherer.wizards.com:
2/1/2007 If Akroma, Angel of Fury is cast face down, it can be countered.

Disregard this post. A quick bit of research answered it for me.

The stifle bit is false. Morph is a Special Action that doesn't use the stack and can be used any time a player has priority. The only part that can be Stifled would be an Trigger from when a card is turned face up.

Why would morph cause a trigger? As you said, it doesn't use the stack and so can't be responded to, and thus can't be countered by anything.

True, but a creature being turned face-up as a result of the Morph Action can trigger abilities, like those on the Morph Creatre themselves. You can't respond to the morph action, but you can respond to any resulting triggers.
