What is the point in oversized cards? I really feel like getting some but don't know how I would use them
They are generally for your Commander in an EDH match. A novelty. I dunno if you'll find them in anything but Creature types.

Before the Commander series, a select few cards were made in oversized versions. They're pretty difficult to find though, and like I said, it was only a select few cards.
I have an oversized jesters cap somewhere...

Pardon my nerdgasm, but if that exists, I need it. Wizards makes planewalkers novels and there is one about Tezzeret, with her in it. Test of Metal by Mattew Stover, one of the greatest books in existence
