Title: Brain maggot?
Post by: DylanW18 on June 03, 2014, 01:46:21 PM
{Brain Maggot}. I'm contemplating adding it as a 3 of in my BUG Delver control.... They wouldn't waste a force of will on it, and if they don't I take their force... Then they waste a removal on it(if they even do that), and that buys me a turn to resolve a spell without worrying about force. Opinions?

I don't run white... I like the board presence of the 1/1, the 1 or 2 damage it deals actually matters.. But I like Thoughtseize or Inquisition so it can trigger Delver

It would probably be better to run {Mesmeric Fiend} because you can do the exile forever trick with it and it can't be {Disenchant}ed.

I don't think it fits in BUG Delver. If you want discard, just play {Thoughtsieze}, since delver decks typically are tight on mana, and it gets rid of anything.

I don't understand why you'd care that much about your opponent forcing any of your spells. Aside from sneak and show, what deck would leave in force against you?

Unfortunately I have never played an actual game of legacy except my friends legacy proxy decks so we could try out the format, so I wasn't aware people would take out force against me

{Force of Will} is actually a terrible card that trades card advantage for not losing. It only has a place because of the speed of the format, and the existence of combo
