If I use {phantasmal image} to copy {Frost Titan}, and the copy is then targeted by a spell or ability, is it put into the graveyard or does it counter the spell/ability unless opponent pays 2 mana? Thanks!
The copied Titan would still die, targeting takes place before countering
I'm pretty sure he dies before u have the option of using that ability.

It's not really an option, but yeah there will be a sacrifice trigger put on the stack regardless. After you sac the image, then the spell will still be countered unless they pay 2. This would matter if they used a spell like {Arc Trail}.

Why of phantasmal copies a hexproof creature? It can't be the target of spells so is that a loophole or?

Exactly. If you can't target it, you can't trigger the ability.
