I get that it's just for fun, but shouldn't you have some removal in there anyways?

{oblivion stone} is a staple in tron.

Why the tree speaker?
To help mana ramp.  He produces {G}{G} once you level him

Updated

This thing works really well actually.

I may end up getting a third {oblivion stone} for it

Maybe I am egging it on but someone posts a Tron build and nothing from Taysby...

I just updated this and man {colossus of akros} is a beast in this thing!  It is too easy to get him in play by T4 and swing with 20/20 trample indestructible on T5.

Tron is kinda fun 😎

If anyone has recommendations for big super ugly fatties in either green or colorless.....I'm open to suggestions.

Great find!

Nothing from me, because i don't normally look in casual.  Casual is for people that don't want to spend $500 on a deck, and i can't really help them.

you need 4 {expedition map}s and 4 {ancient stirrings} and 4 {chromatic star}s and to ditch the mana dorks.  your game plan should be to just assemble tron, then play colorless dudes like {wurmcoil engine} {sundering titan} and eldrrazis.
The deck runs 4 stirrings and no thank you on the expedition map or stars.....I feel they just take up space.  I find that {sylvan scrying} and {explore} find the Tron lands just find.  The mono green allows me not to worry about running the stars.......therefore, the mana dorks assist with the quick ramp.

I love playing fun casual and I don't mind using my expensive cards :P I think that is just the Jonny side of me.  I save the Spike side for competive modern or drafting ;)

{explore} offsets playing forests because it allows you to play an extra land and still allows me to get Tron together by T3

T1 forest, elf
T2 Tron 1, explore, Tron 2, sylvan scrying
T3 Tron 3, and 9 mana to spend

I'm not saying it's better.  I am just having fun with this build and it is consistent enough.

So you are banking on a hand of
forest
dork
tron 1
tron 2
explore
sylvan scrying
hopefully a bomb?

Seems like a pretty specific hand.
Lol whatever Taysby....you are right and always will be in your world.  You are just upset I debunked your claim of this deck stalling a turn or two.

And your scenario of your hand is also not a perfect hand????  I know that deck can stall just as easily if you don't get the draws.

I tried the stars and maps in this deck and found them not needed.  I run it this way and it works....bottom line.  The deck consistently puts nasty guys out very early.....that = win in my world ;)

You started stating specific hands so I did the same.  Of course the scenarios where exact hands.....how the hell else to you describe a scenario of cards in play????

Do not lecture me on consistency of decks.  I understand the benefits of your suggestions......let me re-phrase that......I understand the benefits of taking the Tron net deck build that someone other than Taysby designed.  The only half solid suggestion was to run the {expedition maps} because they guarantee you to find the piece you need......and during play testing with both {sylvan scrying} and {expedition maps} I found I drew those 8 cards entirely too much.  I don't want to draw into those late game.  So I choose to run 4 {explore} and 2 {elvish visionary} because both allow you to draw another card which helps both with early digging and late game it is not a terrible draw because it re places itself......plus {explore} helps you dump an extra land.  The {chromatic stars} are just mana fixers that I do not need.  The star is more or less replaced by my mana dorks and I decided on the slower mana dork {joraga treespeaker} because I do not really want this deck to drop bombs at T3 because this is a fun casual build.  He offers slower early play but late game he can make up for lack of Tron pieces if you do not get them.......which not getting Tron rarely happens in this build.

I'm sorry if I am coming off defensive.  I mean dude I am running {Worldspine wurm} and {colossus of akros} for gods sakes.  This is a Timmy deck that just wants to get the biggest, ugliest, and fattest creatures on the board 😎
