Can I {Supreme Verdict} something that has prot. white?

Yes. Here's how to remember protection: DEBT.

Something with protection from [quality] can't be

Dealt damage by anything with that quality
Enchanted by anything of that quality
Blocked  by anything of that quality
Or
Targeted by anything of that quality.

Since {supreme verdict} doesn't do any of those things (but most importantly doesn't target) it will kill a creature with protection from white.

So if something had Prot. black, I couldn't {Murder} it?

Exactly! BUT you can use {Damnation} to wipe the field
