Title: Sage of hours
Post by: Deathstorm on May 25, 2014, 02:49:00 PM
If I have a  {sage of hours} with five counters on it And cast {twin flame} targeting my sage does the copy come into play with 6 counters on it?

Unfortunately no it won't copy any counters on the card. Same if you were to clone it or somethin

As a rule of thumb, whenever you copy a permanent, you copy what's printed on the card (or whatever is print on whatever that permanent is copying).  Buffs/Debuffs, Counters, Monstrous status, etc are not copied.  You just get what's printed.

Then in that case, how does the {Dark Depths} + {Thespian's Stage} work?

When you're copying Dark Depths, it's not entering the battlefield, it's just copying something already there.  Because of that, no counters are placed on it.  However, if you were trying to copy a Dark Depths with a {Vesuva}, it would enter with counters.  When you use a 'clone' style effect, you chose what it's entering as, then you apply any replacement effects that the copy 'target' (doesn't actually target, just using the word for clarity) has, such as entering with counters.  Those then also apply.

 {Sage of Hours} +  {Vorel of the Hull Clade} = unlimited turns :D

Karma me if you agree! ^,^ (Edited)

You would need an outside source of counters for that to do anything.

You have to remove all counters from sage to use his ability. If you can give him 3 counters each turn, then vorel will give you unlimited turns.
