seems flavorful but i bet {child of alara} would be better. make all you stuff indestructable then blow up the world.

Problem with child of alara is, it it's your commander, and it goes to the graveyard, you can choose to place it in the command zone instead. As it is a "replacement effect" it does NOT go to the graveyard, and therefore does not "die". Which means its "blow up the world" ability won't trigger unless you choose to let it stay in your graveyard. Now, as always, there are ways to get it back. However, that said, being commanderless for any amount of time puts you at a disadvantage as you have one less resource to draw from, namely, your commander. I have no problem with {child of alara}, it's the bomb! 😉, but using it as your commander despite its potential drawback is definately something you want to keep in mind...
