Title: Can i cast/play?

an opponent is dealt damage by my {Daxos of Meletis} exiled the top card o library, its a land, can i put it in play under my control?

The ruling on Daxos states this very clearly.

9/15/2013   If the exiled card is a land card, you won't gain any life and you won't be able to play the land.

You don't need to purchase the rulings, though it makes them more convenient.

Open safari and google mtg and the card name, then select the link for the gatherer website.

Expanding on the ruling for melitis:  melitis allows you to cast cards exiled by him, but lands are played, not cast.
