Title: Kind of extensive
Post by: Avodroc13 on May 16, 2014, 01:42:29 AM
I play {Admonition Angel} and then follow with {Armageddon}. I tap {Gilded Lotus} and a cluestone to use {Faith's Reward} to return a total of 10 lands to the battlefield. After I demolish my opponent's defense with landfall, I tap 6 more mana (assuming the lands come back from Faith's Reward untapped) to throw out another {Admonition Angel} and end my turn. Next turn I use another {Armageddon} and follow with {Faith's Reward}, I need someone to explain what would happen if 10 mana were to come back twice, and what would be the verdict. So now the only thing on the field after the second Faith's reward is my 10 mana, a cluestone, a gilded lotus and 2 {Admonition Angel}s. My opponent managed to get 1 mana on the field and an {Elixer of Immortality}. There aren't 20 non-land permanents, how is this settled?

And to keep this going each turn, I'm strapped with a couple {Archeomancer}s and {Cloudshift}s.

I play with ante, often, so my opponent doesn't want to just give up. Even if we're against all odds, we stick through games.

I don't really see what the question is, here.  You'll need to select any target that you can when the Angels trigger, but since the ability says you may exile the permanent, you can choose to leave it on the battlefield.  End result is your opponent is just sad.

At this point he might as well. You've essentially locked him out of playing the game in any effective manner.
You have 20 targets. You target his stuff, exile it. Target your stuff, decide not to exile. Kill.

Even when ante was in the rules still, I didn't like it and we never played for ante.

Probably to help not waste a good card on ante, lol

Ante seems like an enima with a roto-rooter and gasoline, the only people that like it have anal fixations....

The only time I'd play for ante (and I really want to try this) would be in 4-pack Cube Draft or 6-pack Cube Sealed.  The cards would change pools, but still all be owned by the cube's owner.  Then you can also play with some of the most legitimately busted cards in magic.

I play them in EDH due to the fact I can pop them for card draw
