I've been seeing it played a lot in torn decks locally. It's doing pretty well for them.

...your local meta has no basis on any other meta I have ever seen. Pristine Talisman is horrible.

I guess I see your point about my meta. We have mostly home brew standard decks with mostly net decked modern. It's odd but fun

I changed one of the basic plains to a snow covered plains to add a little fun to the gifts package. I did have a sphinx rev at one point but more or less I'd never had to use it in a game situation. Found myself rather playing gifts or just not tapping out in general esp with the heavy America, twin, and pod meta I play in.

I would not say that is a net deck.....running talisman.  Talisman is barely a decent EDH card and was kind of a thing in standard when it was playable.

It's not in their net decks. It's in a tron mindslaver lock deck that's running around my meta

 {Talisman of Progress} ->  {Azorius Signet}?

But have you seen Reid Dukes list?

I haven't looked at his in awhile. I do agree with him on not running eye or a full 4 remands. Eye does turn into a dead landrop which you can't afford in runnin UW. I run both talisman and signet so you can gift for both.
