Title: Not of this world
Post by: Yevon on May 05, 2014, 06:37:12 PM
Let's say an opponent cast a blanket spell like, Damnation. And you have a couple of creatures out in play. Can you select one of them to save with Not of this world?

Nope, most board wipes (not unlike damnation) don't target. Not of this world requires the spell to have a target.

No because damnation doesn't target any of your creatures. It just damns them all!

{Damnation} and other spells of that nature do not target, and therefore cannot be countered by  {Not of This World}.

Also, of ot doesn't explicitly say "target" it doesn't target.
