Do planeswalkers abilities trigger heroic?
nope. its only when you cast a spell that says target.
The loyalty counters on a Planeswalker that enable them to lose or gain loyalty are abilities, not spells. therefore, as the previous post had mentioned, they will not trigger heroic.
