Shepherd of rot and carrion feeder make it illegal as a modern deck. I'll add {zombie apocalypse to the sideboard when playing against humans, but army of the damned is a bit too expensive in terms of mana.

That's a sweet combo but requires me to splice blue. I suppose I could do it and see how often that combo comes up, plus {blood artist} has the same effect as captain.

If you mean linking the cards, quote this post and you'll see that there are curly brackets around the card names.

I'm going to be buying this deck as a birthday present/graduation gift to myself. Any suggestions for improvements are greatly appreciated. Gonna buy it June 10.

Oh. Well yeah then I understand. The majority of my competitive decks have either infinite or game ending combos. My just for decks are a lot of fun to play with and against

A couple fun little interaction and combos of the deck:

{lord of the dead}+{geralfs messenger}+{carrion feeder} Sac the geralf twice, return to your hand, rinse and repeat.

{skullclamp}+{grave crawler} 2 mana for 2 cards is pretty good to me. It can be used multiple times a turn as well.

{shepherd of rot}+{grave titan} Amazing interaction that causes everyone to lose oodles of life!

{carrion feeder}+{grave crawler} The best combo of the deck. If the opponent doesn't have removal, they are going to have a hell of a time.

All these sac combos can be paired with {blood artist} for consistent life gain/damage.
